A paved path with big Tahoe views
The Tahoe East Shore Trail runs between Incline Village and Sand Harbor, following the lake along one of the clearest stretches of Tahoe shoreline. It is paved, wide, and built for more than just hikers.
This is the right pick when you want lake views without a dirt trail. Families, bikes, strollers, beach bags, and slow walkers all fit here.

What the path feels like
The path follows cliffs and shoreline with blue water, mountain views, and beach access along the way. The long bridge is one of the best slow-down spots on the route.
Because it is accessible and scenic, it gets busy. Keep the pace easy and share the path.
Finding the trail
Park at the paved lot off Tunnel Creek Road at the north end of the trail. If the lot is full, use the East Shore Express shuttle when it is running.
The trail ends at Sand Harbor State Park, with beach access, boardwalks, kayak rentals, and more trails.
Good day for
Choose Tahoe East Shore Trail for accessible lake views, biking, rolling, beach access, and a low-stress family outing.
Before you head out
Check parking, shuttle status, weather, and Sand Harbor access before you go. The paved path can get hot for dogs during peak sun.
Bring water and move to the side when you stop for photos.
