Snow depth and temperature come from the NRCS SNOTEL sensors closest to our stores, read hourly. New snow is the rise in depth over each window, smoothed to filter out sensor wobble, so it can read a little lower than a resort's stake measurement while fresh snow settles. Forecasts are from the National Weather Service.
